Mental Fitness
By Sutton Burke, MS, LCPC ·
We don’t wait until race day to start training our bodies. But psychologically, many of us wait until we’re overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, grieving, or in crisis before reaching for the practices that help us cope. Sutton explores how small, deliberate practices can build emotional and psychological capacity before life asks us to use it. This isn’t resilience as toughness, and it isn’t learning how to tolerate an increasingly unsustainable life.
